What do my Flurry stats on my dashboard mean?

Follow

*New* Flurry Analytics (Classic will be retiring Jan 2017)

New Users and App Sessions-

Where to find? Log into your Flurry account tap on the "Metrics" tap along the top menu bar.

Next select "Usage" in the left hand menu bar.

Both Sessions and New Users are "top level metrics" and are available only when a single app is selected (so you'll want to view these for your iOS and Android apps separately. Let's take a look a some things you'll see on this page:

1. Which app are you looking at? Your Android or iOS app data?

2. What date range are you looking at? You can update this to whatever length of time you choose.

3. New Devices- Users are identified by unique phone or tablet IDs (which vary by platform) to ensure that a user is in fact a unique new user and not just an installation.

4.A session is one use of the application by an end user. This typically begins when the application is launched and ends when the application is terminated. Note that the definition of session does not depend on how many screens are used in the application or how long the application is used.

Events -

Where to find? Log into your Flurry account tap on the "Metrics" tap along the top menu bar.

Next select "Event Summary" in the left hand menu bar.

Let's take a look a some things you'll see on this page:

1. Which app are you looking at? For your events, you can look at both apps at once (Android and iOS).

2. What date range are you looking at? You can update this to whatever length of time you choose.

3. Event Name- I like to sort these by name so they're in alphabetical order.  This was I can see for example "Agent Branding Via Download" for both my Android app and iOS right next to each other.

4. App Name- Make sure you know which app you're looking at by icon. Android or iOS. Numbers in your monthly dashboards are a combination of both apps.

Event Occurrences (Daily Avg) - This value is the sum of the Total Events by Day metric found on the Event Details details page (found when you click on an event) for the date range selected divided by the number of days in that period.

Unique Event Users (Daily Avg) - This value is the sum of the Unique Users Performing Event by Day metric found on the Event details page (found when you click on an event) for the date range selected divided by the number of days in that period.

What Events are reported in my monthly dashboards?

Agent Branding: Users can either brand to an agent via download (from an agent custom branded link) or within the app (from the menu by searching for an agent in the directory). We use the events “AgentBrandingViaDownload” and “AgentBrandingViaDirectory” to track this number.

Home Searches: Each time someone taps the “Search Homes” button in the app after building out a search filter, it’s counted as a conducted search.  We use the event “ConductedSearch” to track these.

Inquiries Breakdown: The number of times someone reaches out to your company (in an unbranded app) or to an agent (in a branded app) for more information via email, a phone call, a text message or an in-app request for information. In this case, we break these down by type:

Calls:
"CallBrandedAgent"
"CallCompany"
"CallListingAgent"
"CallAgentViaDirectory"
"CallCoListingAgent"

Emails:
"EmailBrandedAgent"
"EmailCompany"
"EmailAgentViaDirectory"
"EmailCoListingAgent"
"EmailListingAgent"

Info Requests:
"RequestAShowingSucessfullySubmitted"
"RequestInformationSucessfullySubmitted" (iOS)
"RequestInfoSuccessfullySubmitted" (Android)

Texts:
"TextBrandedAgent" (Only on iOS)
"TextListingAgent" (Only on iOS)

Listings Shared: Users can share listing detail information directly from any listing detail page in the app by tapping on “Share”.  We’ve combined the numbers for sharing via email and text message to get this count. In this case we combined: "SentSMSWithListingDetails" and "SentEmailWithListingDetails" to see how often your users are sharing listings with others.

Total Listings Viewed:  Whenever a user looks at a property in the app, we're tracking it. In this case- we used the event “ViewListingDetails”.

*Your Flurry Dashboard from HomeSpotter adds together both iOS and Android device usage.
